Our Philosophy

Camp Life

Sain Baseball Camp features daily instruction by our experienced coaching staff. Our campers will focus on hitting, fielding, base running, throwing and pitching drills as well as team play, sportsmanship and conditioning.

We will provide quality instruction of baseball fundamentals, while fostering a positive attitude and appreciation for the game of baseball. We focus on keeping your child healthy, avoiding injury and allowing each player to reach their full potential. We realize that we are preparing athletes for more than just the game of baseball. We are dedicated to instilling values that will contribute to your child's success in whatever they choose to do.

Coaches

Coach Sain was a 3 year varsity letterman and earned all-league honors while playing shortstop for West Torrance High. His baseball career continued at El Camino JC, Chico State and Azusa Pacific University. Coach Sain holds a BA in Physical Education and an MA in Physical Education/Administration from CSU Dominguez Hills. He teaches Health Education when not on the field and is the PE/Health Department Chairman at South High School.

Grady Sain

Zak is the Head Coach at Chadwick School in Palos Verdes Peninsula. He previously served as the pitching coach at South High, under Grady Sain. Zak was a graduate of South High and went on to The University of Oklahoma where he was named 1st-team all-Big 8, and participated in The College World Series. Zak was drafted by the Houston Astros and played 4 years of Minor League ball. He also is a varsity assistant at Mira Costa High School during the football season.

Summer 2024

COVID-19 UPDATE

Sain Baseball Camp Sessions will follow the LA county department of health guidelines pertaining to youth sports at the time of camp.

Dates, Times and Locations:

Location: Riviera Little League, 23701 Ocean Ave, Torrance, CA 90505

  • Session 1: June 17-20 9am-2pm
  • Session 2: June 24-27 9am-2pm
  • Session 3: July 8-11 9am-2pm
  • Session 4: July 29-Aug 1 9am-2pm

Ages: 6-12 years old

What to Bring:

  • Glove
  • Shirt
  • Hat
  • Bat
  • Cleats
  • Baseball Pants, Sweats
  • A sack lunch

Players Receive:

  • T-Shirt, Certificate, Individual Player Evaluation Form
